PhD in pediatric nursing at the Nursing Department of University of Athens on 2000. The title of the doctoral dissertation is: “The role and participation of parents in the care of their hospitalized child”.

Research interests: Issues of pediatric nursing care, mental health, nursing education, etc.

Academic appointments: From 1990 to 2002 as Clinical instructor/Lecturer in pediatric and other nursing setting. From 2003 to 2018 as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor at the Department of Nursing at TEI of Athens and since 2018, when TEI of Athens developed into University of West Attica (UNIWA), as a Professor in the Department of Nursing. Teaching experience in both undergraduate and postgraduate nursing education.

Vice President of the Nursing Department for the period 2016 – Aug. 2019. President of the Sector “Pediatric Nursing and Mental Health Nursing” for the period 2016 – Aug 2021

Professional experience: Registered clinical nurse in various patient-care settings at the hospital (1985-1990) From 1994 until now employment in the sector of Education.
